It occurs to me that some people may think that the only reason I write this blog is to make money, that I’m simply trying to sell things or get people to sign up and join a list I can market products to. Some of you may even think that is a sinister and selfish thing to do.

I get it, I understand how you may feel. Everywhere you go people are trying to make money online, and you are bombarded with messages about “make money online”. For this reason there may be a great deal of skepticism out there about this blog.

Well, I have been in love with aviation from the first time I saw Sky King on black and white tv. I remember when I saw my first “real” airplane, a Beech V-Tail Bonanza on a rotating platform at the county fair. From that moment on I knew I had to fly.

And flying – aviation – has been the best part of my life. It lead to my career, my wife and my children. And I love it as much today as I did then … perhaps even more.

So when I write in this blog it is because I am passionate about aviation, and I want to share that passion with you, my readers.

So what about money?

It takes money to run a family, and just like everyone else I need money to run my family. So you will see ads in the sidebar, on certain pages, below the posts along with some affiliate promotions.

I only promote and sell products I believe in and that I think will be great products for you, the readers of my blog.

If you find a product advertised on this web site it is because it is a product I either personally use, have personally reviewed or have researched carefully before agreeing to have it on my web site.

Why do I promote products?

Frankly, writing a blog and building a web site take significant amounts of time and energy. Don’t get me wrong, I love to write about aviation. But it takes time, it takes money to promote it, and I am sometimes attacked by folks who don’t like my opinions.

That’s OK – I can handle the attacks right along with the compliments. Just keep commenting, keep reading and keep me honest … we both will benefit.
