Aviator as Super Bowl Hero?
By JetAviator7 with Comments 0
When I turned on the Super Bowl yesterday what should I behold but …. Capt. Sullenberger of “The Miracle on the Hudson” fame. Just think about the phenomenal change in his life – one day he is just a normal run of the mill airline pilot and the next he is a national hero.
I guess some people will do anything to get a free pass to the Super Bowl, eh? But, I do not mean to take anything away from Capt. Sullenberger or his feat, but I think we would all be well served to remember that this is why WE – pilots – take recurrent training and work as hard as we can to know as much about our aircraft, our flying skills and our limitations as possible.
You never know when that old dog “accident” will rear his ugly head.
Until next time keep your wings straight and level Hersch!

To invent a plane is nothing.
To build one is something.
To fly is everything.
