The National Business Aircraft Association Annual Convention

From October 6th through the 8th the NBAA (National Business Aircraft Association) will hold its annual convention in Orlando, FL. For those in the corporate aviation world, this is a "must see" show where companies display their latest wares and solutions to business aircraft users from around the United States and the world. 
Each year thousands of pilots and business executives come to this venue to see the latest and greatest, and hopefully spend money on new aircraft or updating services from the various aircraft supply companies.
This year the city of Wichita, KS and the State of Kansas will be much more visible to convention goers than in the past. Twelve officials from the economic development board in Kansas and Wichita will be there to tout Wichita and Kansas as the "Air Capital of the World".
In recent years, many states and communities have increased their presence and efforts to recruit aviation-related businesses. "The
reality in economic development is that the competition is fierce and
relentless," said Vicki Pratt Gerbino, president of the Greater Wichita
Economic Development Coalition. Oklahoma, Florida and Colorado are among states with large displays at the show.
The project, including the booth, exhibit space, shipping costs,
materials and giveaways, had a $60,000 budget, money donated by the
partners. The cost is about half the price of what a
project that size would typically run, said Allen Clouse of Nimlok

Kansas is home to some of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers like Cessna Aircraft Company and Hawker Beechcraft and others, and with over 33,000 attendees and 1,200 exhibitors Kansas and Wichita intend to make their mark this year.
