A young woman, 16 years of age, from Frederick, MD is about to embark on a journey to determine where her love of aviation will take her. Justice Pak of Moutn Airy has watched the Presidents helicopter and F-15s fly over her home for years, with eyes skyward and a dream to pursue her passion - aviation.
And at the end of July and the early part of August she will get her chance at the EAA Air Academy this summer where she will learn more about the variousaspects of aviation available for young people today. Given the current state of aviation, it is great to see some still pursuing aviation as a career. This while Cessna prepares for more layoffs, corporate aviation is under attack by Congress, and aircraft sales have not just slumped, they have plummeted. But aviation is a bulwark of our economy, and I believe it will rebound and regain its rightful stature as a great career and avocation, and that corporate aviation will once again help the giants of industry to multiply their talents and create prosperity for all Americans once again. Lets all hope that day is closer than farther away. Until next time keep your wings straight and level Hersch!
