Finally! Pelosi Will Lose Her Ride!

by John M. White |  | 10 comments

It was a breath of fresh air to hear the soon to be Speaker of the House tell us that he will continue to fly coach class on commercial aircraft when returning to his home district. Finally, someone who identifies with us "common folk".Nancy Pelosi Ride Official records show that Nancy Pelosi burned $ 28,000 each time she flew an Air Force GV from Washington, DC to California, and that in a period of just 18 months blew through over $ 2,000,000! It is clear, even to the casual observer, that Speaker Pelosi thinks she is entitled to use our money to keep her comfortable and away from the "common folk" when traveling around the world. With such arrogance is it any wonder our country is in trouble? I vote for some fresh air in Congress and an end to all waste, no matter how insignificant any one item may be. Anyone else? Until next time keep your wings straight and level Hersch! JetAviator7 ps: Don't forget to sign up for our newsletter "All Things Aviation" here! Read a bit more here:

Just read that it appears the Sergeant at Arms isn’t as concerned about Boehner as he was Pelosi: “Based on the current security assessment, the House sergeant-at-arms is comfortable with Leader Boehner utilizing commercial aircraft.”

I’ll trust his advisement, but it does still seem prudent to me that 2nd in line to the president should fly on military aircraft as the VP and President do appear together at same events from time to time.

In addition, I don’t think this is a topic that should be politicized like the author of this post has done, titling his article “Finally! Pelosi Will Lose Her Ride!” and saying the reasons she flies on military aircraft is because she wants to stay away from “common folk.”

I think that the person that’s second in line for the presidency shouldn’t be flying commercial. But maybe that’s just me.
