Bristol Watches

by John White |

As a pilot and your host here at All Things Aviation I am always on the lookout for new and innovative products of interest to our aviation community and pilots. And I have found a really cool one I want to share with you!

The Bristol Watch Company has come up with a great idea.

They have designed a line of pilot watches themed around historically significant aircraft using actual material for the aircraft it represents!

The A10 Tribute!

The A-10 Thunderbolt is the most iconic ground attack aircraft of modern times.  Feared by enemies and beloved by its pilots and the soldiers on the ground it supports.

It has been designed and precision machined a rugged stainless steel case worthy of displaying an original artifact from an A-10 Thunderbolt II airframe.

The movement is a precision Swiss made chronograph and the Super Luminova dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

This design is limited to 1972 units in honor of the year of the A-10's first flight.

This classic aviator design uses a precision Swiss made chronograph with a Super Luminova dial protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The case back displays original airframe material from North American B-25 Mitchell SN#44-30734.  This design is limited to 1945 units in honor of the year of this aircraft's production.

The rugged B-25 Mitchell flew for the Allied air forces in every theater of WWII and beyond.  It gained fame as the bomber used in the epic April 1942 "Doolittle Raid" to bomb Tokyo in response to the Pearl Harbor attack.

This aircraft survives and remains in flying condition to this day.  Thanks to the dedication and support of the Delaware Aviation Museum, this B-25 flying under the name "Panchito", can still be seen gracing the skies at airshows around the country.

The Supermarine Spitfire is arguably the most iconic and beautiful fighter plane of World War II.

This is an aircraft that will be forever associated with the epic Battle of Britain which raged in the skies over England in 1940.

The design is limited to 1940 units in honor of the Battle of Britain, with the case back displaying original airframe material from Spitfire R6753.

Pilot JC Pinckney shot down an ME-109 on Aug 29, 1940 while at the controls of R6753.
