When I turned on the Super Bowl yesterday what should I behold but .... Capt. Sullenberger of "The Miracle on the Hudson" fame. Just think about the phenomenal change in his life - one day he is just a normal run of the mill airline pilot and the next he is a national hero.
I guess some people will do anything to get a free pass to the Super Bowl, eh? But, I do not mean to take anything away from Capt. Sullenberger or his feat, but I think we would all be well served to remember that this is why WE
- pilots - take recurrent training and work as hard as we can to know as much about our aircraft, our flying skills and our limitations as possible.
