The F 18 Hornet was designed by McDonnell-Douglas and was powered by twin engines. The model F-18C was the single-seat variant, which was used by the US Marine Corps Fighter Attack Squadron, more famously known as the "Werewolves". As a replacement for the interceptor fighter, the F-4 Phantom was used in combat during Operation Desert Storm in the 90's. Armed with a variety of ammunitions for air-to-air and also for air-to-ground attack, the F-18 Hornet was used for air support, reconnaissance, and attack missions. The fighter plane is also capable of flying at both subsonic and supersonic speeds and at all weather conditions.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
